This is a SELF GUIDED mountain bike hire service, you ride by yourself.
Our mountain bike hire service does not run out of a shop, rather it is a fully MOBILE service, allowing us to meet you near the trails and train stations.
You can expect your ride experience to last from 2.5 to 3.5 hours.
One of the most popular mountain bike tracks in Australia, 'The Oaks' Fire trail has all the elements of a great ride and experience. The trail runs between Woodford and Glenbrook. This ride comes with a 1000m vertical decent, all in the name of fun and good views.
The ride is downhill 80% of the way with a steep final kick as you climb the road out of the National Park to Glenbrook Village. While there is a some climbing in the first half of the ride, once the helipad is reached at the halfway mark, it's one long fun downhill run.
As the trail winds its way along ridge tops make sure you take the time to have a look around as some excellent views of the lower Blue Mountains can be had. On a clear day you can see all the way to Sydney CBD.
If it's been recently graded, the smooth wide trail allows for a sustained thrilling high speed blast. The icing on the cake is the fantastic optional single track section towards the end, which is one of the best in Sydney.
We meet you with your hire bike at the lower commuter parking station at Woodford train station. This is best accessed off the highway when coming up from Sydney way. Alternatively, catch the train to Woodford!
The trail is 30kms long and takes on average 2.5 to 3.5 hours to complete. The track is easily self guided and suitable for average fitness and experience.
At the end of your ride, we either meet you in Glenbrook to collect the bikes and hear about your adventure or if we are unable to meet you, you can lock up the bikes in Glenbrook at a prearranged location....EASY!
