On A Boat

One weekend a bike ride through the countryside, along with a few shots of Jenever (Dutch gin), resulted in the random purchase of an old Sloep (Dutch canal boat). At that moment a love began. A love of sloeps and everything they represented. Friends, tunes, drinks and good times on the water. Not for fishing, not for commuting... just for fun.

Upon returning to Australia, the lack of use of our rivers and waterways stood out like hondenballen (dogs balls). Especially given our stunning natural beauty and (mostly) glorious weather. It was time to go Dutch and create a little piece of old Amsterdam, right here in Melbourne.
