Ngaran Ngaran Culture Awareness offers an immersive two-night, 40-hour cultural experience in the beautiful Yuin Country of Regional NSW, Australia. This unique experience is designed to connect visitors with the sacred dreaming of Djirringanj, the heartland of the Yuin people.
The retreat is available for groups of minimum two and maximum ten people. Solo travelers are welcome, but a 30% surcharge applies. The experience is available on weekends, with bookings open from Friday to Sunday or Sunday to Tuesday.
Ngaran Ngaran Culture Awareness offers two options for the on-country experience: a guided walk to Gulaga National Park or a Djirringanj Dreaming drive and walk day tour. The guided walk involves a two-hour ascent of walking and taking in the surrounds of Gulaga National Park, while the Djirringanj Dreaming tour involves heading out to see significant coastal and lake areas for the Yuin people. Both options provide visitors with an opportunity to learn about traditional knowledge and the Yuin people''s creation story.
The itinerary includes a traditional welcome with language, song, and smoking ceremony, sunrise ceremony, local Indigenous Twist breakfast bundle, wellness healing session, and traditional reflection yarning circle. Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in and witness traditional Aboriginal wellness sessions, dance, yidaki (didgeridoo), and yarning circles.
Accommodation is provided in the Narooma, Mystery Bay, Tilba, and Bermagui region, with options ranging from belle or safari tents to private comfortable cabin or beach house locations. The experience is strictly a non-alcoholic experience, and visitors are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a backpack, sunscreen, hat, and water bottle.
