The hike begins at the Mt Cooke Pine Plantation, located 18km past the Jarrahdale Rd turn off along Albany Hwy. Hikers will follow the Off The Beaten Track WA signs to the start point, where they will be greeted by a trained and experienced Lead Guide and Tail Ender. The hike will take you along the main ridge of the summit, where you will be greeted by large sloping granite outcrops and giant boulders. The trail can be steep in parts, but the payoff is worth it, with spectacular views in all directions and the opportunity to explore the Mt Cooke Cave.
As you reach the top of Mt Cooke, you will be rewarded with a gourmet picnic while taking in the breathtaking views from 582m above sea level. The hike includes the use of hiking poles, sunscreen, repellent, and all hike photographs will be made available to you.
Hikers are required to bring a camera, 2-3 liters of water, rain gear, a hat, a jacket, and a good attitude. This hike is suitable for anyone over the age of 12, making it the perfect adventure for families, groups, or individuals looking to connect with nature.
