Planet Chill, located in the heart of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, QLD, Australia, offers a fun-filled ice skating experience for all ages. This indoor ice rink, not a full-size ice-rink, is perfect for families, kids, and beginner skaters who want to escape the heat or find something exciting to do on a rainy day.
With each session running for up to 1.5 hours, skaters can enjoy skate hire, 1.5 hours of skating, and complimentary use of skating aids and helmets. Every Tuesday is Cheap Tuesdays, with $15 for all guests aged 6 years and above. Children aged 3-5 years require a paying adult on the ice at all times.
Planet Chill recommends wearing long pants and bringing a jumper. Socks are required and must be worn with the skates. The smallest skates are a Junior size 12, and for sizes smaller, they have a special strap-on training skate with two blades, perfect for balance. Closed-in shoes must be worn with the strap-on skates.
Planet Chill is open to the public, and spectators do not have to pay to enter. Refunds are not available for change of mind, no-shows, or cancellations. Each session is limited to 40 skaters, so it is recommended to pre-purchase to avoid disappointment.
